Client Overview
PFH is committed to promoting independent living for residents predominantly over 60 years old, with over 1,400 high-quality homes across Kingston-Upon-Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. Alongside providing exceptional housing, PFH places strong emphasis on social value, health, and wellbeing. Their events, activities, and community programmes are designed to help residents build connections, stay active, and enjoy meaningful engagement in later life.
The Challenge
PFH wanted to strengthen social connections and combat isolation among their residents. Many older residents face loneliness, particularly if they live alone or have limited mobility. PFH needed a way to:
Promote events and activities effectively.
Showcase residents’ contributions and community spirit.
Use social media to help residents feel connected, informed, and supported.
Reinforce their commitment to wellbeing and community engagement.
Our Approach
Home Marketing worked with PFH to develop a social media strategy that highlighted the organisation’s people-focused approach and encouraged community participation. This included:
Event promotion: Creating engaging posts to advertise activities such as Bingo and Raffle nights, Saturday Night Pop In social evenings, coffee mornings, and games nights.
Community stories: Showcasing residents’ initiatives, such as the Priory Road residents transforming a neighbour’s garden, celebrating acts of kindness and reinforcing a sense of belonging.
Tone and imagery: Using warm, inclusive, and friendly messaging with photos of real residents to highlight connection, activity, and community spirit.
Through this partnership, Home Marketing has helped PFH show residents they aren’t alone, promote events, and foster stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.
